2011 Tribal Energy Program Review - Nov. 14-18, Denver, CO

U.S. Department of Energy, Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Tribal Energy Program

Make Plans to Attend the 2011 Tribal Energy Program Review

October 5, 2011

DOE Tribal Energy Program Review
November 14-18, 2011
Renaissance Denver Hotel
3801 Quebec Street
Denver, CO 80207

Our annual Program Review is a gathering that enables tribes to meet and learn from other tribes that are pursuing energy sufficiency through efficiency and/or renewable energy projects, and to share in each other's successes. Recognizing tribes' increasing interest in energy efficiency and renewable energy and the benefits of tribes learning from each other, we are opening up this meeting to Indian Country as a whole.

This is a unique forum that provides an excellent overview of the wide range of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects under way in Indian Country. The review will include an overview of the Tribal Energy Program and a series of presentations by tribes exploring or deploying weatherization, energy efficiency, and renewable energy technologies across the nation.

Because human capacity is  a focus of the Tribal Energy Program, you will also learn about our internship program and hear directly from young and inspiring Native American students about their experiences and summer projects.

The gathering will begin at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 14 and continue through 4 p.m. on Friday, November 18, 2011. There is no registration fee; however; advance registration is required to ensure adequate seating and food service. Travel and per diem are the individual's responsibility.

For details, see the event overview and detailed agenda (attached). For more information and updates, visit the Tribal Energy Program website.
