Tester schedules seven additional flood outreach meetings

Various agencies plan to be on hand for 17 meetings

(U.S. SENATE) - U.S. Senator Jon Tester today announced seven additional flood outreach meetings for Montanans impacted by the flooding across the state.

Tester’s staff will host 17 flood outreach meetings across Montana in early July. The sessions are designed to connect residents affected by flooding to resources available from state and federal agencies.

Joining Tester’s representatives at many of the meetings will be the U.S. Farm Service Agency, Natural Resource Conservation Service, USDA’s Rural Development and Risk Management agencies, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Human Resource Development Council, the Montana Red Cross, the Montana Department of Revenue, the Montana Disaster Emergency Services Division, and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Tester also invited the Office of the Commissioner of Securities and Insurance to participate in the meetings.

Tester’s staff will have materials on hand from the Montana Department of Natural Resources, the Office of the Commissioner of Securities and Insurance, the Montana Department of Disaster and Emergency Services, the Montana Secretary of State, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the Internal Revenue Service’s Disaster Program.
